  • The RedByrd Coffee Shop, Leiper’s Fork, TN (a tiny house turned coffee shop located in front of the Leiper’s Fork Market) 
  • High Brow Coffee & Tea, Westhaven neighborhood Franklin, TN (if you’re a tea drinker, get their matcha tea latte made with their housemade almond – coconut milk. Great bakery items available, too) 
  • The Coffee House at Second & Bridge, Downtown Franklin, TN (not only do they have great coffee/ tea but also bakery and breakfast items)

All Day Dining

  • Leiper’s Fork Market (simple, grab and go meals & ice cream) 
  • Fox & Locke, Leiper’s Fork (meat and 3 type of option with daily specials, burgers, etc)
  • Frothy Monkey, Downtown Franklin, TN (they have a variety of coffee, tea and food items for breakfast, lunch and even dinner in Downtown Franklin)

Breakfast

  • Biscuit Love, Downtown Franklin, TN 
  • Five Daughters Donuts, The Factory at Franklin
  • Saturday Farmer’s Market, The Factory at Franklin (stroll the Farmer’s Market and choose from any variety of fresh produce, baked items, etc while you do. Open from 8am to 1pm every Saturday outside of The Factory. Extremely family friendly but they do not allow dogs)

Casual Dining

  • Barbara’s Home Cooking, Franklin (be sure to try the fried chicken)
  • Scout’s Pub, Westhaven neighborhood of Franklin (variety of cuisine ranging from simple to unique offerings)
  • Coal Town Pizza, Westhaven neighborhood of Franklin 
  • Merridee’s Bread Basket, Downtown Franklin (try the chicken salad plate and baked goods)
  • Gray’s on Main, Downtown Franklin (their burger with pimento cheese is our favorite item on the menu)

Hot Chicken

  • Edley’s, The Factory at Franklin (they only serve their hot chicken during lunch and they often run out so go early)
  • Hattie B’s, The Factory at Franklin + multiple locations throughout Nashville (their food is good but it has definitely become a tourist hot spot so the lines can be a bit daunting. If you go, get there early or after the lunch and dinner rush times)

Nice but not too Fancy (e.g. you can dress up or wear jeans and still fit in)

  • Wine’s in the Fork, Leiper’s Fork (you can sip wine creekside and it’s family friendly. Check the calendar for one of their Farmstead Roots Creek Dinners. If you happen to be in town, we highly recommend this unique experience where you get to wine and dine literally in the creek) 
  • Curio Brew Co., Franklin, TN (they brew both coffee AND beer) 
  • H Clark Distillery, Thompson’s Station (they not only are a whiskey distillery but you can get beer and a mix of cocktails. Dog friendly on their patio, too) 
  • Arrington Vineyards, Arrington, TN which is 45 mins from Nashville (fully outdoors or under covered pavilions, full menu but picnics welcomed, extremely family friendly)
