Ron Jon Surf Shop

Location

Why We Love It

A Cocoa Beach staple and world-renowned for a reason… Ron Jon Surf Shop is definitely worth visiting when in Cocoa Beach. You can load up on your souvenirs here but even just walking around is an experience.

Local Tip

Use the elevator! As a kid we loved going up and down the glass elevator and looking out over the shop and built in water throughout the store – and now our son loves it, too.

The Funky Mermaid

Location

Why We Love It

Exactly as the name implies, this is a funky beach shop with a variety of offerings from home decor to gifts, spices to jewelry – most of which are locally made. In fact, some of the beachy decor you’ll find at Lunar Beach Bungalow is from here!

Local Tip

There are a lot of breakables and tight corners. The shop would probably be okay for older children who are able to refrain from touching but as a mom to a toddler, I’d forgo taking in small children as it’s a bit too tight for strollers and I’d hate for my kiddo to bring down a display!

Drifthouse Cocoa Beach

Location

Why We Love It

While there are several, larger chain stores in the area we suggest hitting up the local ones, too – like Drifthouse in Cocoa Beach (or MTB Surf Emporium if you find yourself a little further south in Satellite Beach one day). They carry all of your typical, quality surf brands for clothing, sunglasses, shoes & more.

Local Tip

Yes, the larger shops are cool and you can get some cheap finds. BUT please support local when you can!
