The Beach!
Along the 6-mile stretch of Cocoa Beach you’ll find FORTY (40) beach access points that the city describes as “stub-end streets”- where the street ends and beach begins. In addition, there are 4 oceanfront parks with restrooms, showers, picnic tables and of course, more beach access.
Why We Love It
The sun-bronzed beach sand works for sunbathing and sand castle making alike. Though its world renowned waves are a surfers paradise, they’re still calm enough that families and novice beachgoers are able to enjoy a swim or their first surf lesson.
Local Tip
The city’s website has a map with the various beach access points and parks (44 in total) as well as helpful tips for making sure your trip to the beach is enjoyable and safe. When bringing the dog, be sure to stick to the dog-friendly areas listed.

Of course we love the animals, but this zoo offers some unique experiences: giraffe and rhino encounters; kayaking tours; a train; paws on water area for young kids; an aquarium and zipline adventures making this zoo popular for toddlers, big kids and kids at heart (aka adults).

Why We Love It
Taking a cooking/ baking class while on vacation is a great way to experience local cuisine! Their classes are something that guests of all skill levels can participate in. Classes range from baking bread like grandma used to make, to tips and tricks of decorating a cake like a professional to making classic homecooked meals- and best of all you get to take home whatever tasty treats you make!
The majority of their classes are geared towards ages 8-14 and up (except their Boozy Bakes).
Local Tip
Plan and reserve your classes well in advance however you can always check for last minute availability (a great option when it rains or a way to escape the heat)!

Why We Love It
Where else can you mini golf, mine for treasures and feed real alligators?! There are 2 mini golf courses to choose from that meander over ponds with real alligators hanging out around you (don’t worry, you’re on bridges with netting so it is safe)! You can also opt to feed baby gators and big ones, too and mine for “lost treasures.”

Why We Love It
Catch a show at one of the local theatres. Surfside Playhouse, Cocoa Village Playhouse or Titusville Playhouse. No, they’re not Broadway but do offer great local performances for audiences of all ages.
Local Tip
Be sure to check out the shows well in advance and book tickets accordingly. As many of these are smaller theatres, they do book out quickly.
