Nashville in November

Nashville is one of those cities that can’t be explored in just a day or two. Luckily, November is a month that people come and stay a little longer, celebrating with family and friends. It’s packed to the brim with food, fun, culture and activities that anyone can enjoy! Read on for an insiders list of fun events that make Music City so magical. (If you’re visiting for the holidays, be sure to check out our ‘Holiday the Music City Way’ blog for some winter festivities to add to your itinerary!)

Hawkins Arcade: Stranger Things Pop-Up (now until Nov. 3) : Headquarters Beercade Nashville has transformed itself with an immersive “Stranger Things” pop-up experience! They will feature extravagant and exciting photo ops, installations and a full sized demogorgon, yikes. This installation has been available for the past few weeks and will be closing up on November 3rd – so check it out while the gateway is still open! Sidenote, they will also be serving a Stranger Things inspired cocktail menu including a De-Marg-organ (a deliciously strange margarita), the Eleven (comes with a mini Eggo) and The Mindflayer (apparently turns your world upside down).

Frist Friday: Mural & Mics (Nov. 8 at 6pm) – This special evening at the Frist will offer you the opportunity to experience art in a very unexpected way, through live performances, interactive gallery activities, and food & drink specials. Rashad Thapoet kicks off the night with his award winning spoken word, followed by Nashville’s ‘Hiphop newcomer of the year’, Daisha McBride. To wind down the evening check out the “Collaborative Mural-Making” with Norf Art Collective, who consider their artworks collaborations with their own community. This will be a night of new experiences and a great chance to contribute to the neighborhood we all love so much.

GLOW Nashville (Nov 22-NYE): This is an unexpected and wonderful winter surprise this year. The Nashville Sounds are partnering up with Glow Nashville to put on a solid month and a half of holiday fun at First Tennessee Park! That’s right, you get to celebrate early this year with Nashville’s brightest christmas experience, winterfest market, Santa’s workshop, blitzen’s band box, mistletoe cafe, frozen fortress ice skating &, reindeer run tube park rides! This is one of those holiday festivities that will be fun for young and old, so plan your trip now! (Check out our Holiday Blog for more ideas)

Boy Named Banjo (Nov. 29 at 8PM): Lightning 100 is saluting our Middle Tennessee Veterans & Charities at Marathon Music Works this November with Boy Named Banjo. This Bluegrass/Folk fusion band got its first big break by earning a spot in the 2015 Bonnaroo Lineup! Now they’re playing this show for an amazing cause, celebrating our country and our veterans with the city of Nashville. Get your tickets while they last, and bring your bluegrass dancing boots!
