Nashville Heats Up This July

July is quite possibly the most vibrant month in Music City. There are so

Arrington Vineyards- Music in the Vineyards

many amazing events happening and we want you to beat that heat and have a good ole time! This month you can easily find yourself eating our famous Hot Chicken, crackin’ open a cold one at an outdoor music festival or leaning back and enjoying some traditional Jazz at Rudy’s. We encourage you to venture out and experience all of the eclectic and wonderful things that Nashville has to offer. It’s more than just a root’n toot’n bachelorette destination… Although, we are pretty good at being that as well 😉. We’ve dedicated an entire blog post to Nashville July 4th, so if you’ll be in town for that, you might want to hop on over to this link and read more about the festivities.

Start your July off in a sultry, laid back way. The dimly lit Rudy’s Jazz Room is just the place. This world famous venue has been host to thousands of the worlds best musicians over the years. It’s velvet curtains, upright piano and speakeasy vibe brings music lovers from all over to it’s little doors, and they truly know how to welcome you to a city full of the musically inclined. On Monday, July 1st – “Re-Evolution” takes the stage bringing some of the smoothest jazz Nashville has to offer. There’s never a night when the Rudy’s talent disappoints – “Re-Evolution” is no exception. Heavily influenced by Miles Davis & John Coltrane, this house band knows how to bring it! If you are in the city on any Monday night, they have a residency at this little hidden gem of a venue, and are sure to impress! (Sidenote: If this is something you’re into, you may also enjoy ‘Jazz in The Pavillion’ at Arrington Vineyards on July 12. Food Trucks, Jazz Music & Wine.. allll the best things)

Do you like Yoga? Even the beginner Yogi enjoys yoga on a rooftop with drinks included (yes, drinks). Acme Feed & Seed hosts Yoga Buzz every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Yogi’s of all skill levels meetup at 10AM to do Yoga on the Acme Rooftop off Broadway, afterwards you get to hang and sip on a “Devils Backbone” (one of Acme’s Signature drinks) that apparently brings out that after-yoga glow. But wait, this event isn’t over yet – there is an optional extension to go to brunch on the 1st floor after. We LOVE brunch.. But who doesn’t love brunch? You can get in your daily dose of Vitamin D, exercise, liquor and waffles all in one stop! Oh my.

You hear about Nashville and how 100+ people are moving here every single day, but do you understand how talented our city really is? You can’t come to Music City and miss the refreshing local talent. Natchez Hills Winery hosts an amazing weekly showcase at The Nashville Farmers Market every weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun). Songwriters who have moved here with a dream and a guitar end up singing on the outdoor patio hoping for that big break. This is the perfect show to truly experience the heart of Music City- and it’s free. Every week is radically different from the last, featuring music from bluegrass, country to r&b and pop. This little corner of Nashville is a musical haven, and we think you should add it to your itinerary.
